Ian Falconer

Founder & CEO

Ian Falconer has a background in upstream raw materials supply having worked for global oil & gas majors, mining and quarrying companies, as well as providing consultancy services to those industries whilst employed in the City of London.

In 2013 he decided to explore ideas around sustainable metal powder production for Additive Manufacturing but ended up starting Fishy Filaments in 2016. In 2019 the company launched its first 3D printing product, Porthcurno, the world’s first commercial filament made from 100% recycled PA6 and originating in used fishing nets. It recently launched another world first, a 100% recycled PA-CF called 0rCA®.
