Nick Cruchley

Senior Research Engineer

Dr Nick Cruchley is a senior research engineer based at the National Centre for Additive Manufacturing at the MTC with 10 years of experience working with additive manufacturing (AM) across a wide range of AM technologies.

His main area of expertise and interest centres around the metallurgy of the AM process and the effects on material properties through processing parameter and post processing optimisation. Currently he is leading the MTC’s introduction of electron beam powder bed fusion of pure copper for space applications.
